Serenity Shabbat is a community-wide initiative organized by Jewish Child and Family Service as part of National Addiction Awareness Week. Several synagogues in Winnipeg will be participating in this unique spiritual experience, which celebrates the dual blessings of recovery and Shabbat focusing on addiction awareness and the wisdom of Jewish tradition as it relates to the spiritual practice of recovery. At the Shabbat morning service on November 30^th, Shaarey Zedek will welcome Shane Earn who will share with us his experiences with addiction and his work in supporting others with addiction and mental health disorders through his podcast – Hopeaholics. Following the service, please join us for kiddush. No registration necessary.
