Dear Congregants,
We felt it was important to address the feedback we received from a number of you, our valued members, regarding this year’s approach to promoting our in-person (and live stream options) for High Holy Days.
WHY FREE in-person
By offering FREE in-person seats to our members, our intention was to make a bold gesture to bring you back in person for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, fondly referred to as Moadim Le Simcha, “joyful moments of our gathering”. Our focus was to rekindle a desire to gather in person to prepare ourselves to go into our renewed home.
YOUR FEEDBACK: UPDATED Live Stream offering
Several people with mobility issues have reached out to let us know that although they would like to be able to gather in-person, the online option is the only viable one for them. For this reason, we have decided to offer the Live Stream for FREE to members. We want to ensure you that we truly care and have listened to your feedback. At the same time, we would appreciate your generosity to contribute to the cost of this service. The suggested price for streaming*, similar to what is being charged by our sister synagogue, would be greatly appreciated.
Let us approach this new year and our renewed future with optimism, positivity, and an understanding that we are here for you. We hear you and care deeply about your feedback.
*$180 suggested member rate for Live Stream
**Note that at this time we are also encouraging non-members to join us for HHD and are offering a variety of options including accessible membership, volunteering, and seats-for-fee.
