Introducing our new booking process for High Holy Day Seats

 Since our last in-person High Holy Days at Shaarey Zedek Synagogue in 2019, our community has undergone a series of existential challenges from the pandemic to the current war in Israel. Throughout this whole time, we have continued to push forward with a major renovation because despite the difficulties, we continue to believe that there is a vibrant future here in Manitoba for our Jewish community.

 Last Fall, we felt energized as we came together as a community with over 800 people for services. This year, more than ever, we need to feel empowered as a community. As we unite our congregation by combining first and second services, we hope to rekindle this sense of unity.

Sanctuary Service:

Family Service in the Childcare Centre:
Rabbi Anibal Mass
Noah Trachtenberg

Both Rabbis will deliver sermons in the Sanctuary on alternating days.

 An opportunity for a fresh start while respecting our traditions!

The challenges of combining the first and second services involve seating overlaps when accommodating both groups of congregants. This, along with the new seating layout in the Sanctuary, Chapel, and Auditorium to comply with building codes, presents an opportunity for a fresh start. Our goal is to maintain organized, orderly, and fair seat arrangements. We have been selling seats in stages, as per the President's directive, starting with those who have been members the longest, which continued throughout the summer, notifying each member group one-week in advance of sales opening for their group. We have completed the stages and have now opened seat arrangements for non-members. If you are a member and have not reached out to us yet, we encourage you to fill out the form noted below as soon as possible.
